Returns and Exchanges
Butcher James offers returns and exchanges for items in new and unworn/unused condition in original packaging with tags attached. All return shipments must be postmarked within 3 days of receiving your order. Full priced items purchased with a promotional or discount code are not eligible for refund but may be eligible for store credit or exchange if returned within 3 days of receiving your order and passes inspection.
Merchandise must not be worn, altered, or washed and merchandise must have all tags attached. All items must be returned in the same condition as delivered. This includes no odors such as smoke or perfume, no alterations of any kind and no split seams. We photograph and document condition at the time of packing in order to verify return condition.
All items on sale are final sale without exception. Sale items are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange.
Vintage and secondhand items are final sale without exception. If you have any questions regarding a vintage item please e-mail vintage [at] butcherjames.com prior to purchase as these items are not eligible for refund or store credit. Vintage / second hand items are likely to have minor flaws due to the nature of being pre-loved items. Some examples of minor flaws include and are not limited to; pilling, markings, discolorations, loose threading, small holes, tears, and other signs of wear from the previous owner and age.
Motorcycles, custom-made jewelry, skincare/personal care products and gift cards are final sale without exception.
Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Packages that arrive COD may be denied or the COD amount may be deducted from your return.
Return Instructions
- If you have any issues with your order, please contact customerservice [at] butcherjames.com within 3 days of receiving your order with: your order number, item purchased, the reason for return, along with tracking/confirmation for the package to obtain a return authorization.
- We will do our best to correct any issue with your order.
- Returned merchandise must be securely packaged up with all original tags, packaging, etc. and include a note with your order number and email address.
- You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
- If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don't guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Butcher James cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged while in transit.

We will issue your refund minus shipping costs after we receive the qualified return. Butcher James is not responsible for return shipping costs. Please allow up to 3 business days for your return to be processed.
All unauthorized returns will be refused.
Shipping charges are non-refundable.
Refunds and Processing Time
If your return arrives at Butcher James within the timeline specified above, your refund will be processed in the original form of payment within 3-5 business days. Please note, your banking institution may require additional days to process and post this transaction to your account once they have received the information from us.
A confirmation email will be sent to you as soon as your refund has been processed. Butcher James reserves the right to deny any credits if the merchandise does not meet our requirements.
Late Or Missing Refunds (If Applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Shipping
Once an item has been shipped, Butcher James is not responsible if the item is lost, stolen or damaged in transit. Butcher James uses USPS priority shipping for most domestic orders. We recommend U.S. customers to select the signature confirmation option during checkout for extra security on delivery.
If you prefer an alternative method of shipping, please contact our team via e-mail at shipping [at] butcherjames.com.
If a package is lost, stolen or damaged in shipment, a claim needs to be filed with the shipping service provider used and not with Butcher James. If a package shows that it has been delivered through the tracking number and the customer is unable to locate their package, Butcher James is not responsible and will not issue a refund or store credit.
International Customers
Butcher James is not responsible for customs fees, duties, taxes, or tariffs.
Butcher James uses USPS, UPS or DHL for international orders, and each country's customs duties, taxes, tariffs, etc. may vary. As stated, Butcher James is not responsible for these fees and they are not included in the shipping charge. The customer is responsible for any additional charges for customs fees.
International customers with shipping addresses verified as remote will be subject to an additional $35 charge. A member of our sales team will be in touch after your order has been placed and a separate invoice will be sent to collect this amount.
Packages refused or returned will be subject to our restocking fee of 10% per item.
If we are notified that your purchase has been flagged as a risk of fraudulent activity a return or exchange will not be accepted. Purchases that show as high risk through the checkout services will be reviewed and will not be processed if advised through our shop’s host.
